“Some people say timing is everything, and for us, timing truly changed our lives,” the couple shared.
Keith’s determination became another defining part of their love story. Komal Naileesh Patel, 29, a baker, and Vishnu Lakshman Sriram, 30, a musician and software developer, exchanged vows on October 26, 2025, at The Balcony Orlando. Surrounded by approximately 200 guests, the couple celebrated their love with a wedding that was deeply personal, community-focused, sustainable, and full of unexpected moments.
Their story began on October 15, 2020, when they connected during the pandemic. Komal remembers their first FaceTime conversation fondly, even though it was far from a traditionally glamorous first impression.
“I FaceTimed him with acne cream on and we had a really nice back-and-forth conversation,” Komal recalled. “There was even a joke about him being a bohemian fugitive.”

The very next day, they met in person and spent the day exploring a music and record store before enjoying Thai food together. Vishnu later made Komal breakfast and chai, setting the tone for a relationship built around simple moments, shared interests, and plenty of laughter. After dating for approximately two years, they got engaged and remained engaged for nearly three years before their wedding. The couple has also been living together since 2023.
Vishnu planned a romantic proposal in December at Greenacre Park in New York City, near the Museum of Modern Art. Despite the freezing temperatures, the day was filled with warmth and excitement. They began with coffee and pastries at REMI Flower Cafe before heading to the unexpected oasis of Greenacre Park.
“I was able to surprise her with the majestic waterfall splashing life into the city,” Vishnu shared. “Then I read her a poem titled ‘My Gujarati Goddess.’ She said yes, and joy poured out of us.”
The couple chose The Balcony in Downtown Orlando because of their love for city life and their personal connection to the area. Both were living in Downtown Orlando at the time, while Komal grew up in nearby Apopka and Vishnu was raised in the Florida Panhandle before his family later moved to Orlando.
“We really recommend a local wedding if you can swing it and find a venue you love,” the couple said. “You gain so much value from showcasing local vendors and feel much more involved in your community.”
Their wedding day featured a beautiful blend of traditions and personalities. Guests enjoyed a cafecito cart, ceremony snacks, candies, and nuts at each chair. Rain unexpectedly arrived during the pheras, but The Balcony’s team smoothly transitioned the ceremony indoors. In one of the wedding’s most memorable moments, Komal and Vishnu completed their Vidaai from the 11th-floor elevator atrium and departed in the elevator.
The couple also combined their Gujarati and Tamil-Brahmin heritage through ceremonies such as Kashi Yatra and Oonjal. Elders placed the varmala on the couple, symbolizing the joining of their families, while Komal and Vishnu exchanged personal vows after the Satapadi.
The reception was equally unconventional. Instead of following a traditional entrance-and-dinner schedule, guests ate and danced before speeches and special performances began. DJ Pav created an energetic mix of Hindi, Tamil, throwback, and American music that brought together guests of different generations.
One of the biggest surprises came when Komal’s sister, cousins, and best friend performed a dance for the couple. Vishnu, meanwhile, surprised guests with his own musical performance.
“Everybody danced and had so much fun,” the couple said. “Neither of us knew about the surprise dance, and Vishnu’s performance made the night even more special.”

Komal and Vishnu incorporated composting and recycling and worked with local vendors, including people they had personally known for years. For Nikita Maniar and Pranav Bhakta, love began with a simple change of location on a dating app and quickly turned into a story filled with unexpected surprises, family, friendship, and plenty of Bollywood flair. Nikita, a neurologist from South Florida, had grown tired of the dating scene in Chicago and decided to change her dating app location to Dallas, where she had friends. The couple tied the knot over a three-day celebration from May 8 to 10, 2026, at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida, surrounded by approximately 350 guests. The wedding ceremony was held outdoors in the evening at 7 PM with the Nashville skyline as a backdrop. Inspired by the wedding sequence in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the mandap design was grand and cinematic. One of the most memorable moments was Shrusti’s entrance into the mandap through a hidden staircase, a vision that required extensive planning and last-minute problem solving before it was successfully executed.
Music played an important role throughout the celebration. The Baraat featured a live dhol team that created an energetic atmosphere as guests danced from the waterfront to the ceremony space. The groom arrived by boat with his groomsmen, adding a unique and lively start to the day. The ceremony included live singers and musicians performing traditional songs, enhancing the emotional atmosphere.
The reception embraced a modern luxury theme with a black, white, and gold color palette. The ballroom featured mirrored accents, candles, acrylic seating, and white floral arrangements including roses, hydrangeas, and lisianthus. Instead of a traditional stage setup, the DJ booth and LED screens became the focal point, creating an immersive party atmosphere. The bridal party entrance included custom props, LED lights, and oversized photo cutouts that energized the room.
The couple’s first dance included “Ordinary” by Alex Warren and “Tum Ho Toh” from Saiyaara. The father daughter dance was “Meri Duniya Tu Hi Re” by Sonu Nigam, and the mother son dance was “It’s the Time to Disco” by Vasundhara Das, KK, and Shaan.
