Jennifer weds Arun
Jennifer Marie Gionfrid do and Arun Lall’s wedding story seems nothing less than a fairy tale. After seven years of courtship, Arun finally planned to ask the million-dollar question on March 20, 2011. Of course, like all those before him, he did all he could to woo his lady and make the proposal as special as possible. It was no easy task, but after four months of meticulous planning and making sure that every detail had been fine-tuned, Arun surprised Jennifer with a trip to Los Angeles. The trip included everything that defines romance, including a gondola ride. While they were on the beach, he chose the perfect setting to profess his love. An overjoyed Jennifer did not disappoint him and the couple decided to spend the rest of their lives together.
A proposal like that can only be followed by the perfect wedding. Arun and Jennifer decided to include their family in the process of planning the wedding instead of hiring a consultant. Their wedding decorator, Sushil Patel, made planning even easier by introducing them to independent vendors such as Sketch Sound Productions, Derek Winter mute Photography, Pure Motion Films and Bhojanik Caterers, all of whom are the best in their fields. The couple chose Intercontinental Hotel in Atlanta as their venue because of its appeal in décor, service, location and style. This was a good choice as the couple also vouches for the assistance provided by Director Brian Ettelman in executing the event smoothly.
On the big day, Jennifer arrived at the venue in a gorgeous black limousine with her mother. A dreamy ceremony took place against the backdrop of the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta. The French Gothic inspired cathedral was the perfect setting for the couple’s wedding with its gold, stone and stained glass interior. The hour-long ceremony was a traditional catholic mass lead by Father Frank McNamee. ElynMacek, Choir director at Cathedral of Christ the King, and pianist, Robert Amar, set the mood for the entire ceremony. The procession music, Ave Maria was played by Tim Whissler, the church organist.
The reception matched to elegance set by the ceremony. Utopian Events managed the décor, and floral arrangements set up beautiful, elegant centerpieces on every table. ThFcouple looked royal as they sat in a rhinestone embedded curved chair placed against a Jodha-Akbar themed setting. The highlight was the Estate table that wowed the guests with a three-tiered centerpiece with calla lillies, hyrandgeas, roses and curly willow placed in crystal candelabras. The reception was a fun affair with an 11-piece salsa band, Orquesta Macuba, shared the stage with DJ Neil Mirchandani of Sketch Sound Productions. For their first dance, the couple swayed to the song “Con Los AñosQue Me Quedan,” which was sung by Orquesta Macuba. The song means “With the years that I have” and talks about a woman who decides to spend the rest of life adoring her man.
Jennifer and Arun believe that a couple should stay true to everything they dream of for their wedding. Their advice is that the couple should soak up every moment of the special day that can pass by quickly before one can notice.
